Insider data theft and malware attacks top the list of the most significant concerns for enterprise security executives, as per the latest report by Accenture. During last year, technology enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region (77%) were attacked the most after media organisations.
Most of the threats (69%) carried out against organisations were internal, as per the report and these internal breaches will continue to haunt the enterprises for the coming year as well, as there is an increase of 62% of security professionals expressing concern over internal theft as compared to last year. DDoS and other software threats have also increased concern amongst security professionals by 59% and 57% respectively for the coming year.
The insider theft of corporate information alone raised concern by nearly two-third over the coming 12 to 18 months, as per the research.
